About the study
In this six-session study, New York Times bestselling author and popular blogger Melanie Shankle celebrates the beauty of the many small things in life that add up to make a big difference, and teach us all to savor what truly matters. It speaks directly to the heart of women of all ages who are longing to find significance and meaning in the normal, everyday world of attending class on their college campus, driving carpool to soccer practice, cooking a meal for their family, taking care of a sick loved one, or a million other things.
Melanie offers women the opportunity to embrace what it means to live an abundant and incredibly meaningful life finding beauty and laughter in all the small things right beneath the surface of every moment.
Children Pre-K through Grade 6 can sign up to participate in our Sports Camp program, which runs July 11th - August 8th at the same time as Women's Bible Study. To register your child, please go to rcalvary.org/sportscamp. Childcare for birth-preschool is unavailable.
Young Adult Women's Bible Study
July 21st - August 11th, 2018
Saturdays | June 2nd - August 11th | 7:30-9pm | The Sigmon's house
This summer, join Sarah Sigmon as she leads an in-depth study on the first eleven chapters of the book of Genesis.
This study is open to young adult women ages 18-29.
The cost is $15 and includes a study book to use and keep.
About the Study
God of Creation: A Study of Genesis 1-11, by Jen Wilkin
The opening lines and chapters of Genesis teach us fundamental truths about God. We watch Him bring light after darkness, order after chaos, and rest after toil—all through the power of His Word.
Over 10 sessions of verse-by-verse study, dive into the first 11 chapters of Genesis by following three critical stages of understanding: comprehension, interpretation, and application. Teaching videos are key in understanding this study. Revisit familiar stories and historical figures, challenge your basic knowledge, and discover deeper meanings in the text. As God reveals Himself through Scripture, we can only begin to understand ourselves when we first glimpse the character, attributes, and promises of our Creator.

We will provide Child Dedication during our 8am, 9:30am and 11am services.
What to Expect
We'll invite your family up after our worship songs for the dedication. We will ask you 3 questions about dedicating your child, and then anoint your child with oil and pray over them.
- Question 1: “First, will you live out your faith at home, in a real and authentic way that can be modeled for ______?” (Living out your faith at home)
- Question 2: “Will you commit to connecting ______ with a spiritual family, so that they will have multiple sources of support?” (Connecting them with a spiritual family)
- Question 3: “Finally, Will you be willing to discern the direction of God in _______ life, and act on that direction?” (Releasing your child to God’s purposes)
If you have other older kids who would like to come up on stage as well they are welcome to.
Family or Friends are more than welcome to come towards the front of the room to take pictures during the ceremony.
You will receive a dedication certificate after the ceremony.

We are excited that you are interested in baptism. We believe that baptism is an important step of obedience for every person who has accepted Christ as his or her Savior. If you have made a decision to follow Jesus as your Savior, then water baptism is the next step in your journey. We consider it a privilege to walk with you as you take this next step on your spiritual journey!
Each person taking this step is asked to record a video that will be shown before your baptism. We'll walk you through this step-by-step and guide you through this process so that on that day, as you step into the baptism waters, your story will be shared with our church family and friends.
Pastor Bob will lead a brief meeting that will help answer any questions that you may have about water baptism.
